Group instruction is conducted in a class session of dogs and their
owners. Groups are kept small (roughly 10-12 dog-owner teams) so that
personal attention can be given to anyone in need of a little extra help
from Shelly. Group classes meet once a week for an 8 week semester. The
fee for the group class is $150.00.
The beginner's class covers basic on-leash obedience, voice commands
and hand signals. Basic obedience commands include: sit, down, stay, heel,
come and stand for examination. The beginner's class also addresses
behavioral issues such as chewing, biting, housebreaking, running away,
barking, aggression, jumping and pulling. This is recommended for every
companion dog, especially those that need the extra exposure to
distracting situations.

The advanced class emphasizes gaining control of the dog over
progressively longer distances, resulting in off-leash control. Dogs learn
to respond to commands such as sit, stand, down, stay, heel and come,
without a leash and at a distance. The course also covers advanced
obedience and control techniques. This is especially recommended for those
stubborn and independent dogs, as well as those that need to work! This is
a must for those who plan to go on for competitive Obedience, Agility,
etc.

These courses of instruction are designed to provide intensive
individualized training. Obedience and special applications training are
also available in an individualized training setting.

Dogs are dropped off at the school in the morning and picked up in the
late afternoon or evening. Training occurs at intervals throughout the day
over a period of approximately three to four weeks. At the completion of
the dog's training, private instruction for owners and their families is
provided to ensure that family members gain control of the dog.
Arrangements for drop-off/pick-up are made to fit the client's schedule.

Dogs are boarded at Shelly Leibowitz's home training facility. The
recommended period of residence is approximately four weeks, although
longer training periods can be arranged if necessary. Private instruction
for owners and their families is provided at the time that the dog returns
home. This is a very intensive and thorough program.
